Before I began the planning process, I found my own (cheaper) flight(s)
In your initial research, prior to submitting preferences for your experience, you may stumble across a flight within your preferred price range and highlight this in your experience preferences. While we are happy to look into this flight specifically, as well as others, there is a high likelihood that the rate you viewed previously will no longer be available at the time of research/booking by our team.
If, after looking into your preferred flight, our team finds that it falls well outside of allotted reward value, we will be happy to source alternative options that better fit within the value of your reward. Our booking team will always strive to secure the best possible rates for your preferred flight(s), but please be aware that pricing and availability of flights rapidly fluctuate.
There are times when preferred destinations and flights necessary to visit these places simply exceed the value of your currently active reward. Should this occur, your Concierge will generate an itinerary for you with an out-of-pocket cost estimate. This is not binding, but a way for your Concierge to communicate the monetary burden that may fall on you if you opt to move forward with the overall experience.
The estimated out-of-pocket cost is based on a buffer added to the booking to ensure there are no price increases during the booking process. Actual out-of-pocket may be lower than the amount listed. We only require you to pay the total over your reward value once the itinerary is locked in.
Can I book my own flights and be reimbursed?
In regards to booking flights yourself: our policy regarding scheduling and payment is that your Concierge handle all of the booking and payment on your behalf, typically through one of our experience partner providers.
